Quotes history and archive

For trading strategy testing you may need the quote history sources for the financial instruments you are interested in.

To upload quote history in *.csv format to the MRC-MetaTrader 4, please, follow the instruction:

1. Download the files to your computer relating to the financial instrument you are interested in. Then pick the files from the list below from the instructions and save them onto your PC.
2. In the trading platform MRC-MetaTrader 4, choose ‘Service’ in the upper menu, then – Quotes archive or the F2 key.
3. In the left part of the window opened, choose the required financial instruments group, for which you are to import the quotes. Double left click for an instrument and period you choose. If all is done well, you will see the window: “Quotes archive: <instrument chosen>, period” For example, instruments group: Forex, instrument EURUSD, period M1. In the window: “Quotes archive: EURUSD, M1”.
4. Make sure that instrument and period are correctly chosen and press Import in the bottom.
5. In the Import window opened: <instrument chosen>, <period>. In the File line, press Browse. Find the *.csv file, downloaded previously (for example EURUSDM1.csv), press Open. Be careful choosing the instrument and period!
6. Press OK in the Import window.
7. To import the quotes for other periods, repeat the points 4 – 7, specifying the necessary timeframes.
8. After finishing the quotes import press 'Close' in the Quote Archive.
9. Open a chart of the instrument you are interested in and make sure that the historical sources are displayed in the chart.
